Mike Is Qualified To Be Your Oro Valley Town Council Member
Mike Zinkin was born in Indianapolis, Ind. His family moved to Tucson in 1958. Mike earned his BA from the University of Arizona (1967). That year, Mike was Commissioned Ensign, USNR, serving in the Military for two years. Later, he attended California State University, Northridge, earning an MA degree in 1976.
Mike's business career was that of Air Traffic Control Officer in the military and then FAA Air Traffic Controller/Manager until he retired in 1998. His career in this area spanned more than 30 years.
After retirement, Mike moved to Oro Valley where he quickly became involved in civic activities. He served on his neighborhood HOA (1998-99) and the master HOA (1999-2001).
Mike has also served the Town of Oro Valley. He has twice graduated from Oro Valley's Citizen's Planning Institute. He served four years on Oro Valley Developmental Review Board, with two years as Chairman. Mike currently serves on the Board of Adjustment.
Mike and his wife, Ramona, enjoy their four beautiful grandchildren. In addition, Mike is currently an AIA Sports Official (Baseball, Football, Basketball) . He has been officiating sports for 40+ years.
Always active, Mike is ready for the challenge of representing you on Council and of making Oro Valley a great place to live and work.
